Reduced Reporting and Permit Costs

This unit uses Tetrachloroethylene to remove drawing grease from waveguide tubes. The unit is permitted in the state of Rhode Island under regulations that are as strict as those of the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD).

After reporting zero emissions for eight consecutive quarters, the company was authorized to suspend emissions reporting obligations unless there was a change in emission levels.

Airless degreasing systems are recognized by the SCAQMD and the EPA as low-emission technologies, typically leading to reduced reporting obligations and simplified record-keeping procedures.
