Reduced Reporting and Permit Costs

This unit uses Tetrachloroethylene to remove drawing grease from wave guide tubes. The unit is permitted in the state of Rhode Island under regulations that are as strict as the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD). After reporting zero emissions for eight straight quarters, the company was permitted to suspend reporting unless emission levels changed.

The Airless Degreasing systems are well accepted by the SCAQMD and the EPA as low-emitting systems, generally resulting in fewer reporting requirements and less record-keeping.
